Re: Inverter

produced figures that show a decent unit uses 1kw of electricity to produce over 4kw of heat. Hmmmmm !! I thought that I had a pretty good grasp of Physics at school, obviously I was mistaken. Conservation of energy is still valid. A heat pump is extracting heat energy from the air in one space and...

I have to say that I was always a sceptic about any system that used electricity for heating. I always find my copy of the Cretan Highway Code useful to have with you, so have pasted it below:- CRETE HIGHWAY CODE 1. RULE OF THE ROAD. The unwritten rule of the road in Crete is to drive in the centre (except when approaching a bend - see below). In the unlikely event of an encounter with someo...

We have recently heard that a very reliable accountant in Chania is advising all ex-pats to declare themselves as non-residents for the foreseable future. Apart from the problems mentioned above, the tax allowance is being reduced by quite a large amount this coming year, and could be possibly zero ...

Greg

I have a system installed which uses a solar panel - the collector/panel fitted to the roof seems very efficient.

I think Google translate has made it more difficult to understand in this case. 14xxx are premium rate numbers, so I think it says that some classes of line are barred from dialling premium rate numbers beginning with 14, other classes of line can call those numbers. How you tell what class of line ...

It is true that some cooker hoods nowadays do not need earthing as the motor is double insulated. Really the only way you can be sure if it is that type is to either read the installation manual or look on the manufacturers web site. It goes without saying that if it requires an earth, and it not ea...
