Getting to and from UK to Crete - Scheduled flights, Charter & Low Cost Airlines

Low Cost airlines  

The low cost airlines flying to & from Crete between April and November are:
Easyjet to Heraklion and Chania
Jet2 to Heraklion
Ryanair to Chania
Norwegian to Chania

Charter flights to and from Crete Charters to/from Crete in the summer months include
Thomsonfly and  Air Germania  with services to Heraklion and Chania (Hania) airports.

Scheduled Flights - Via Athens
There are daily flights throughout the year from the UK to Crete via Athens with Aegean Airlines to both
Heraklion and Chania, who offer cheaper fares if you book in advance, and online with their etickets.

Aegean Airlines also offer cheaper add-on fares if you book their through flights from/to another country, e.g.
London/Athens/Chania.

Look out for special offers on off-peak dates



Ferry Services Piraeus (Athens) to Crete
Ferry services run daily to and from Piraeus to Chania and Heraklion throughout the year.

ANEK lines run overnight services to and from Piraeus/Heraklion and Piraeus/Chania daily (approx 9 hour sailings).

Minoan Lines  run an overnight service to and from Piraeus/Heraklion daily (approx 9 hour sailing)

Online booking is available on the websites above..

All services use large modern ships with comfortable lounges, bars and restaurants.
On peak dates such as Easter, Bank Holiday weekends, July/August the ferries can be very crowded and advance
booking is essential.
Ferry prices start at 30 Euros per person one way for deck class.
