Re: Cadastre 2nd phase

Some examples of things I have used mine for, all within about the last year: 1 To register for e-prescriptions. 2 To make an appointment at EFKA to renew my health insurance cover. 3 To check on Atlas that my healthcover had been updated. 4 To confirm/alter vaccination appointments. 5 To print out ...

Re: Cadastre 2nd phase

As far as I can tell there are two possibilities: 1 Your property has already been entered in the National Cadastre. In that case you would indeed simply need to check that the entry is correct. 2 Your property has NOT already been entered in the National Cadastre. In that case you would need to sub...

Re: Cadastre 2nd phase

You could easily get your accountant to send you your TAXISNet ID and password. They tend to be used for lots of different things nowadays so it is useful to have them on file. Also many Greek government web sites translate quite well into English if you open them using the Chrome Browser and you ha...

Re: AIR COOLING FANS

Here are 17 stores selling Life Ice Core. Try opening in the Chrome browser and it should translate. Personally I don't have much confidence in water evaporative air coolers. Water evaporative air coolers attempt to cool the air in a room by blowing air over a tank of water inside the cooler causin...

Re: Welcome to Greece - Enjoy your Hotel

I completely agree with you, Bob, that the UK government and the NHS in particular have a disastrous record at implementing IT projects. That is the whole point of my argument. The NHS App already exists and works. The Test and Trace App already exists and works. Making minor modifications to two wo...

Re: Welcome to Greece - Enjoy your Hotel

Well I don't know for certain but I would imagine that your NHS data is stored as a relational database. When you tap on "Consultations and Events" it activates a query form that interrogates the database and displays all events on a time line. To implement a second query form called "...

Re: Welcome to Greece - Enjoy your Hotel

I did learn a bit more about it, Bob. Apparently vaccination data is stored on your NHS record. Anybody can download an NHS App, which gives them the ability to order repeat prescriptions. That App can, in principle, access whether you have been vaccinated but your GP has to enable that access. Some...

Re: PCR test location

As far as I know the only laboratory performing PCR analysis of test swabs on Crete is in Heraklion. The only place that I know of that is taking the test swabs in the Chania prefecture is Iasis/Gavralakis clinic on Marko Botsari in Chania. There may be others but I am not aware of them.

Re: Temporary AMKA for vaccine

I'm told that a relatively small number of Johnson & Johnson shots are starting/will start very shortly to become available. No doubt the number will rise with time. I guess Attica has some big mass vaccination centres which would explain the shorter wait for a first Pfizer jab. People are more ...

Re: Temporary AMKA for vaccine

... All I have to add is that the government announced today that all Greeks who want to will be able to be vaccinated by June 30. This is obviously false, at least for those of us without amkas. Even if I got an amka today, it would take weeks to get into the system, then book an appointment (anot...

Re: Latest lockdown rules - clarification?

I suspect that the fact that people want to have more freedom in their food shopping, because Sunday is a feast day, probably prompted the government to relax the restriction on inter-municipality travel now rather than later not that they only relaxed it for one week. Many people had hoped that int...

Re: Latest lockdown rules - clarification?

If you read the article I linked in the previous post it is pretty clear that the restrictions on inter-municipality travel are lifted from tomorrow, not just for one week. The statement in the actual briefing reads: From tomorrow morning, inter-municipal movements within the Regional Unit are allow...

Re: Latest lockdown rules - clarification?

There is another KTG article that states that: SMS <6> will be used also for moving to a restaurant or cafe. Inter-municipality movement has always been confusing but my understanding is that it became allowed a little time ago for retail shopping, with a confirmed appointment and a time limited per...
